Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about the Foundation, the Testnet, funding and security.
01 / The Foundation
What is the Zroarus Foundation?
The independent steward of the Zroarus ecosystem. It funds open-source tooling, infrastructure, research and education; supports the move to community-run validation; publishes security advisories; and reports on what it does with its resources.
Is the Foundation the same as the team that builds Zroarus?
No. The Foundation operates independently from any single company, validator or team building on Zroarus. Its mandate is the long-term health of the network and the ecosystem, not any one product or token.
Does the Foundation take over or run the projects it funds?
No. Founders keep their projects and run them. The Foundation funds work; it does not take over, own or operate the projects it supports, and funding never gives it control of a project.
Does the Foundation control the network?
Not as a matter of design. Today the Testnet is run by Foundation-operated validators while the community validator program is designed. That is stated openly on the Decentralization page, and the goal is to hand validation over to the community.
Does the Foundation sell tokens or give investment advice?
No. The Foundation does not sell tokens, promise returns or offer investment advice. A directory listing is not an endorsement of a project.
02 / The Testnet
Is the Zroarus network live?
The Zroarus Testnet is live and open to builders. Mainnet is planned and is not live; no chain details are published for it until it exists.
Do Testnet tokens (tZROAR) have any value?
No. tZROAR is a test token with no monetary value, and the Testnet is a test network that may be reset at any time. Never buy or sell it.
How do I get test tokens?
Use the Testnet faucet. It dispenses 100 tZROAR and 1000 tZUSD per 24 hours, authenticated by signing a message with your wallet.
How do I connect a wallet?
Add the Testnet as a custom network using the chain ID, RPC URL and explorer listed on the Network page, then request test tokens from the faucet.
03 / Security and conduct
How do I report a vulnerability?
Use the private disclosure form on the Security page. Do not post exploits publicly before a fix ships. Advisories are published only after a fix is available and affected parties have had time to upgrade.
How are conflicts of interest handled?
Reviewers and committee members recuse themselves where they have a financial, employment or close personal interest. Recusals are recorded on the decision and conflicted reviewers cannot see or score the application.
What personal data do you publish?
Applicant contact details, reviewer notes and internal deliberations are never published. Published disclosures are append-only; corrections are issued as new entries.
